How Cool is Paintball?
Have you wondered about paintball? How is it played? What equipment do I need? Is it only for young teenage boys? Here's some info to get you started down the path to this really cool sport that is available for anyone, anywhere to play...young or old, skinny or fat, athletic or geek. How great is that?
The cool thing about paintball is that it can be played by anyone. You could be male or female and you probably can play this action game. In truth, even grandmother and gramps can join in the fun of this great sport. It can be a great time for families to gather together and have some fun.Essentially, paintball is done in open fields. Each person will have an air gun or a paintball gun or paintball marker. For capture the flag, the 2 groups will search out the flag of the opponent and the 1st one to seize the flag and bring it back and put it right next to their own flag in a set amount of time wins. Also, the complete team members should not be eliminated on this method. The term eliminated means that a paintball hits a player and they are out of the game.
The ammunition for the paintball gun is generally powered by compressed air which launches the paintball. It can even hurt or sting a bit if it hits your bare skin. For defending the face, you'll need a mask. This covers the front of your face and your ears.
In paintball, there are certain rules you need to follow. Taking off the goggles or the mask are a massive no-no in the game. Knowing the limitations of the gun is also necessary in playing the game. Generally , shooting at the opponents at point blank range is a no-no.
You also need to remember this is a truth game where it is not kosher to lie about getting hit. If you get hit, exit the game or simply play dead. Occasionally , you will not know if you were hit or not due to the chaos of the firefight.
The last rule of the game is to like it and have fun playing it. There are some expensive options for equipment and accessories but you don't need to go for all these at the beginning. Start out simple, learn the rules, make new friends and have a great time.
